A CONROE
INSTITUTION
People have been eating at La Palma since the early '90s — some regulars for over 30 years. Don't judge this book by its cover: behind the red-and-green walls is some of the most authentic Mexican food in North Houston.
Folks drive from all over Houston and Waco for these tacos. It's a true hole-in-the-wall taqueria — laid back, neighborly, and open late to catch that late-night crowd. As one regular put it, it's practically a monument to Conroe.
"If you look up 'taco' in the dictionary, the definition would simply be 'La Palma.'"
